Join us for the first Mellow Mile Club family hike on MLK Day at Cabrillo National Monument! This fee-free day is the perfect opportunity to explore one of California’s most underrated National Parks. The Coastal Trail offers stunning views but is not wheel-friendly, so please plan accordingly.

Who’s Invited?
This hike is open to families (including aunties, uncles grandparents, and besties— your village is our village), nature lovers, and anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a peaceful day outdoors. Leashed dogs are welcome!

What’s the Mellow Mile Club?
The Mellow Mile Club is a community that encourages outdoor exploration with the whole family. We host casual meetups and campouts across San Diego, with no frills, no agenda—just good people in good places!

What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes (light tread recommended)

• Water and snacks

• Sun protection

• Layers for coastal chills

Important Notes:

• Baby Tula carriers available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis — we’re happy to show you how to back carry your toddlers!

• Spaces are limited to keep the group small

• Parking may be limited—arrive early!

Gather your littles and join us for a monthly Mama + Littles Hike—a relaxed, no-agenda meetup for moms and kids who love to explore! This ongoing event is all about getting outside, meeting good people, and giving little ones a chance to roam and discover. Whether you’re carrying your baby or walking with a toddler, all are welcome. Just bring your snacks, strollers, and a sense of adventure—we’ll take care of the fresh air and friendly faces.

This Month: Co-founder, Alyssa of R Adventure is teaming up with fellow mother & local business owner of mysun&myself for a special hike along the Rios West Trail at San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center. This family-friendly, stroller-accessible trail offers coastal views, bird watching, and plenty of open space for exploring. Spots are limited as a nod to Mother Nature and to give us room to connect—to join, visit our Instagram and add your name to the signup list in the comments by November 17th.
